Family Update- A New Home, Calling & State

Long time no see!! Our family went through some busy times over the past few months as we have been busy moving. During the move we took a step back in the amount of posts we shared here at RedeemingFamily. As our life schedule has become more consistent once again, we have been ramping up writing to help encourage and equip you. In June we will be resuming our regular weekly posts featuring news in the church, around the web, and RF originals. Now for a quick update on what we have been  to up the last few months….we have moved!

Most of our moves in the last 15 years have been within the same state. This move has taken us from southern Illinois to our old home state of Michigan. We are thrilled to be back in Michigan and to be serving in a church here. Jacob is now the Lead Pastor at Ada Christian Reformed Church (Click here for the church’s website). We have settled into our new house and new church. The kids have already started activities and met some new friends. The house is unpacked, and we are back to homeschooling and meal planning. It was pretty crazy planning meals while we packed up our house, traveled, and lived in a hotel for a week. I am sure there will be posts in the future about all the things we have learned over the past months (including meal prep tips for kids with allergies on the road!). Suffice to say, we are blessed to be in a new town and can not believe how God worked everything out to get us here.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  Psalm 3:5-6
