Response to Article about Planned Parenthood

This is a response to this article, posted a few weeks back, about stricter rules regarding noise complaints.

I'm very thankful for the brothers and sisters who conduct themselves with absolute purity and sincerity as the gospel gets shared daily, and as mercy is continually on offer as the gospel of Jesus Christ is shared, and potential users of the abortion clinic are encouraged to save their babies from murder.

The irony in this article and complaint is straight from Grand Rapids' city attorney and Police force. They state that there are no other "health care" facilities that experience noise complaints. That would be directly tied to the practice of the killing of the unborn that takes place at this location.

I myself have gone multiple times to witness, pray, sing, and work alongside the faithful brothers and sisters who continually plead for the lives of the unborn at this specific facility. The loudest things ever get are from cars passing by that honk and shout obscenities at those who are advocating for the life of the unborn.

The amplified speakers that get used are within the ordinance code that the city of Grand Rapids has currently established.
Some of you will be saying to yourselves, "It is a woman's right to choose." That is currently the law in our land. It is precisely this reality that is impressed upon the men and women who use this clinic. There is no law that demands their unborn children must be killed. There are choices at play here. If you can read this, you are reading this as a result of the reality that your parents chose not to kill you.

Some of you will be saying to yourselves, "why don't these Christians put their money where their mouth is and help kids, and elderly, and special needs people who are living already?" - the answer to that is simple - we do. We adopt, we raise our kids (and the children of others who are up for adoption or foster care), we take on the care of those with special needs, and do not kill people simply for having different needs than we do physically, mentally, or emotionally.
When someone pulls into the abortion clinic, that is the last chance their child has at being spoken up for. That is the last chance a mother and father have to decide if they will murder their child or love their child.

We today look back with shame and horror on our history of slavery, racism, and genocide. The opportunity is present in our lifetimes to correct a grave error of abortions. If we do not, then surely future generations will look back on us with the same shame and horror at our inaction and thirst for murder.
Regardless of what the city decides legislatively, I'm thankful and confident that the brothers and sisters who engage in this life-saving work will continue to protect and serve the smallest among us will with great sincerity, humility, and hope. If you'd like to hear some of the stories of lives who have been saved as a result of moms and dads refusing to murder their children, let me know, and I'd be glad to share some of those stories with you.

Recognize the irony in asking for changed legislation. There are noise complaints that may dictate a change in law, but the death of fellow human beings is seen as "health care". If your life was on the line and another person had the choice to end your life, would you want someone to speak up on your behalf? That action is precisely what the Christian men and women, boys and girls, do outside the abortion clinic.

One suggested new headline for this news outlet - "Murder is legal and rampant in Grand Rapids. Learn about those who speak up against murder".
I'll close by quoting the Hippocratic Oath - this is a direct translation from the Greek to English from 200+ years before the birth of Jesus Christ, from someone who was not a Christian.

"I swear by Apollo Healer, by Asclepius, by Hygieia, by Panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture....I will use those dietary regimens which will benefit my patients according to my greatest ability and judgment, and I will do no harm or injustice to them. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course. Similarly, I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion."

2200 years ago health care code was established to cause no harm (that's the shorthand phrase we used today most commonly associated with the Hippocratic Oath). Included in that code was the promise to not cause abortion (the ending of life in the womb).
Health care seeks to provide for the health and longevity of better life for all who are under the doctor's charge. The ending of life is not health care; it is murder and should be openly, plainly spoken of in these true terms.
No unborn baby in Grand Rapids has to die due to a mom or dad's choice. I'm thankful for the faithful who spend their days pointing to life, hope, love, and provision for those in the womb.
